We are proud to announce the release of the new version 2.0 of the Stitch & Sew software, an embroidery software packed with amazing features for digitizing and editing of embroidery designs, at the same time being extremely easy to learn and use!
Stitch & Sew is a complete package containing features and functions only to be found in high-end professional software systems, features that have been designed and incorporated in such way into this user-friendly software which makes working with it really fun and easy!
The numerous new features included into Stitch & Sew version 2.0 follow this concept rule of providing advanced new functions in a simple and easy accessible way.

2. Pan on screen allows you to quickly scroll on screen without needing to utilize the scroll bars while working with a design simply keep the Space bar on the keyboard pressed and move with the mouse to any desired direction.

Multiple new features introduced include amongst others :
- Capability to print an additional sheet that presents the color block analysis of the design, as to providing guidance and help on the sequence in which colors of a design are to be embroidered.
- A variety of information to print along with the design, such as company logo, frame position, origin/end points, and others.
- Feature to print a design on multiple pages especially useful when embroidering large design and wanting to have a 100% print out.
4. Open design preview preview image when browsing through folder in the Open design dialogue is now available for any kind of stitch format, even if the original file format did not include a thumbnail it is automatically created for preview by the software, by far simplifying the process of browsing to find and open a design.
5. Design formats available to Open Additional file formats are available in the File > Open function, providing further capabilities and flexibility when reading file formats originating from other software products, vendors or the internet.

7. Machine disk functions the function to Format a machine disk and Write to a machine disk have been included in addition to previously existing Read from disk, providing full capabilities on working with and exporting to any kind of commercial machine format.
8. New Juki .vdt format the software now supports reading and writing to the new .vdt format, specially designed for the new type JUKI AMS-E series machine.
9. Repeat design repeat a design or part of a design as many times you wish, by setting the number of horizontal and vertical repetitions desired, also being able to set a value for distance in between repetitions. Options to horizontally/vertically mirror the repetitions, also to maintain the color sequence of the design repeated (thus minimizing color/thread changes needed), further enhance this special time-consuming feature.
10. Center design has been enhanced with further capabilities and options, to be able to set the design to center at center frame (default), center bottom, design start, design end or also any custom point to be set by the user (other point).

12. Switch between embroidery recipes A great new feature allowing you to edit any block and change its embroidery recipe to any other of the available embroidery recipes. Thus providing powerful flexibility to make a block in one form and then quickly edit to another recipe form, for example switch from running stitch to satin line or from normal fill type to appliqu etc. The possibilities are limitless, this is a powerful new editing feature and a true time-saver when digitizing or editing designs.
13. Move outline in Block edit - ability to move selected block outline in edit separately, further enhancing the capabilities for quick and easy editing.
14. Move hole outline in Block edit - ability to move the outline of a hole of a block in edit separately, further enhancing the capabilities for quick and easy editing.
15. Delete hole - option to delete a hole of an object through delete outline.
16. Capability for 45 degree locked movement of the reference line while digitizing, simply by having the Shift button pressed down.
17. Delete stop an option within the Block list to delete a stop code, thus eliminating a color change between two subsequent blocks.
18. Addition to Stitch edit to grey out stitches after the current selected stitch, making it easier to find the desired point and move through the design.
19. Preview font list a convenient list of all font styles included, also allowing for preview all characters of a font style.
20. Bold ability to make the text in Lettering bold.
21. Width/rotation frame control option within Lettering to define the width of a selected frame while also being able to input the exact desired rotation value.
22. Center frame for Lettering, centers the frame while in wire-frame mode.
23. Vertical frame to write text in vertical form in Lettering.
24. New PhotoStitch Running stitch type - a new PhotoStitch fill type has been developed and incorporated into the software, the Running photostitch fill type. This new fill type covers the area of a photo with a running stitch, producing a different and impressive result.
25. PhotoStitch wizard steps the sequential steps for the wizards were changed in order to accommodate for the newly added functionality and also the new PhotoStitch Running Stitch fill type.
26. Preview of PhotoStitch results and estimation of stitch count - Step 6 of the PhotoStitch wizard now includes the capability of previewing the result to be generated even before closing the wizard, thus allowing to change values until optimum results are achieved. What is more, the preview is provided at this step along with an estimated number of stitches for the final sew out.
27. Additions to AutoPunch wizard such as :
- Fit to frame option in color reduction step 5.
- New step 7 added, to incorporate the variety of embroidery settings requested, to pre-adjust the embroidery result that AutoPunch will generate. Settings added include to choose to have a block filled with either satin or fill stitch, to define its density, stitch angle, underlay, stretch.
- All these values can of course also be edited afterwards, if one will have the Editing module, from
where the user has the ability to preset.
28. Preview points there are now two steps available for showing stitch points, regular and bold.
29. RGB color definition an added option when having selected a block or parts of the design and changing color of to it, to define the desired color also by RGB value.
30. Apply to all - in Stitch colors window choose to apply new color to all blocks/parts sharing this or only to the color instance selected.
New in Embroidery settings window new settings for further enhanced control have been added to the Embroidery settings window allowing, such as:
31. Auto-outline for text - whether satin line or running stitch, auto-outline is now available to be applied also to lettering objects.
32. Stitch types for text special effect stitch types such as elastic step or step pattern can now also be applied to lettering objects.
33. Cross-stitch multiple passes the Cross-stitch recipe has been enhanced with option for multiple passes on the stitching, allowing up to 5 passes and a bolder cross-stitch effect.
34. Applique 2nd hold down line the Applique recipe has been enhanced with option to generate a 2nd hold down line to tie to the fabric.
35. Offset option for Satin line recipe inclusion of the offset option for the Satin line recipe.
36. Underlay for Satin line recipe the Satin line recipe now has the ability to also have underlay, choosing amongst all type of underlay : Central, Edgewalk and Fill underlay
37. Central underlay for Column recipe Central underlay is now an option for the Column recipe also.
38. A setting for column tool lettering blocks, to Trim if distance between branch is higher than the setting defined thus virtually providing control on internal connection policy between lettering branches.
39. Custom sets providing the capability to store and recall any set of embroidery settings defined by the user.
40. System Parameters enhancements the System Parameters window has been enhanced with a variety of new settings and controls, such as:
- Display cross will activate the hairline cross instead of the mouse pointer in the software working screen.
- Draw appliqu setting to choose whether to draw an hypothetical fabric swatch on the appliqu area or not.
- Auto-kerning on by default, allows you to uncheck Auto-kerning, for example when working with script fonts.
- Editing of curves during creation of new objects option to be enabled or disabled (also applies directly a shortcut via the ] character on the keyboard)
- Display sequin to display or hide the sequins on screen (for sequin stitch type, if available)
41. Autosave part of the System Parameters settings, the Autosave option is a valuable tool that protects your work from unexpected problems on either the software or the PC, by automatically keeping a copy of your work and restoring it the next time the software is re-opened. It even allows you to set the time intervals on which auto-save should apply (for example set to save every 5 min).
42. Update scheduler also part of the System Parameters window, this is an additional schedule customization feature allowing you to set when the software should automatically check for new live updates available. Live Update incorporated from the very first version of Stitch & Sew is an important function that automatically checks if a newer update for the software running is available and downloads and installs it automatically if so (requires active internet connection)
43. Custom made fonts - Ability to view custom made EOS fonts through the Stitch & Sew software.
44. Monogram functionality new simplified process of creating Monograms in Lettering, make use of the special Monogram fonts included with the software.
45. More thread palettes the software has been further enhanced with a large variety of additional thread palettes.
46. Languages - software menus and appearance now available in a variety of languages, such as English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Czech, Serbian, Greek, Chinese and Japanese.
47. Troubleshooting utility a special utility installed with the software to further enforce the support & service offered to our customers.
What is more, a new level of Stitch & Sew has been designed to cover the needs of a new emerging field of start-up professionals in the embroidery market or professional who take their venture into new fields, such as embroidery shops/malls/special events business all being special market segments with some unique characteristics, such as utilization of small semi-professional single-head machines.
49. More Lettering frames 21 new frame styles included, allowing for even further capabilities on manipulation of text appearance.
50. Send as mail directly send a mail with any design open in the software as an attachment, allowing to choose the file format along with a .jpg image of the design that is also attached automatically.
51. Manual Digitizing Capability option to insert manual stitches, while in digitizing simply hit Insert button on the keyboard to take you into this mode, goes back to previous mode selected after done. Also providing the option to choose between inserting hit, jump or sequin manual stitches.
52. Special functions ability to add manual machine stitch codes during the digitizing or editing process, such as Stop, Cut, Jump, Hit and Sequin on/off codes. (attention, manual stop gets in only as code and does not affect colors)
53. Modify code ability to edit stitch code while in Stitch Edit and switch between Stop, Cut, Jump, Hit and Sequin on/off codes.
54. Sequin stitch type special technique Sequin stitch type is now available for both
- Size of sequin to define the size of the sequin.
- X/Y Distance between sequins to set the X/Y distance between sequins.
- Offset value to protect from hitting on the sequin, by defining an offset.
- Sequin on code set a sequin on code for an embroidery machine with a sequin attachment incorporated to recognize when to enable the mechanism.
- Sequin off code - set a sequin off code for an embroidery machine with a sequin attachment incorporated to recognize when to disable the mechanism.
- Sequin on edge setting for a normal fill block with sequin stitch type, to check whether the sequins should extend to the outline of the block or not.
